Focus for the Soul Cards
A creative channel for self-discovery, exploration, and inspiration
Focus for the Soul cards were inspired by the book "Do Not Disturb, I'm Drawing" and by research into the development of children's drawings and their meanings. They were created to serve as a creative tool for self-exploration, discovering paths, and finding inspiration. They allow for deepening and fostering self-reflection, emotional development, finding an inner center and anchor for the soul, and strengthening self-image.
They can be used to clarify situations of indecision, conflicts, and challenges. The cards enable bringing up deep and hidden content in a creative and surprising way, encourage the ability to observe, and provide fertile ground for growth and personal development.
Inspired by the principles of "Focusing" developed by Dr. Eugene Gendlin, philosopher and psychotherapist, the cards invite a gentle pause, listening inward to body and soul, and allow meanings, images, and words to emerge from the bodily felt sense itself. The scribbles and images on the cards serve as a bridge between inner experiencing and expression. In this way, the cards become not only a reflective tool, but a companion for an inner dialogue between body and awareness, expression and creation.
